Kwara Govt Invests N290m in Nollywood Movie 'Ajuwaya' to Tackle Kidnapping Issue

The Kwara State government has invested N290 million in producing a Nollywood movie series called 'Ajuwaya' to address the issue of kidnapping in Nigerian society. The debut film, shot at the state film school Sugar Factory film studio, features renowned actors like Desmond Elliot and Femi Adebayo.

The production was supported by a N350 million grant from Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu. This initiative aims to boost the creative industry in Kwara State, providing job opportunities for over 700 people involved in the film's production.

The film is seen as a step towards creating a controlled environment for economic activities and skill development in various trades.
