Kwara Police Arrest Three Suspects Linked to Kidnappings

The Kwara State Police Command arrested three suspected members of a kidnapping syndicate on October 24 and 25, 2026. The first suspect, Aliyu Isiaka, was apprehended in Okolowo, Ilorin, while disguised in female attire and carrying charms.
He confessed to being part of a nine-man gang led by a man named Juli, who is currently at large. Isiaka, a resident of Ga’a-Kpapa village in Moro Local Government Area, stated he joined the gang in August 2026 and participated in three kidnappings at Oloru, Alapa, and Malete.
Following this, a joint operation by police and Forest Guards led to the arrest of two additional suspects, Seriki and Jebrin. The total number of suspects connected to the kidnapping network now stands at three.
The Commissioner of Police, Ojo Adekimi, described the operation as a significant step towards dismantling kidnapping networks and restoring security in vulnerable communities. The suspects are undergoing further investigation and will be arraigned in court upon completion of the process.
