Kwara PDP Elects Adamu Bawa as New State Chairman in Congress, Saraki Praises Party's Maturity

The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) elected Adamu Bawa as its new state chairman during a congress held in Ilorin. Bawa, who is set to contest the Kwara North Senatorial District seat in the 2023 general elections, emerged unopposed.

Other officials elected include AbdulRahman Kayode as State Secretary and Olusegun Adewara as Publicity Secretary. Former Senate President Dr.

Bukola Saraki commended the party members for their maturity, fairness, and commitment to internal democracy. Saraki emphasized the importance of a level playing field within the party.

The outgoing chairman, Babatunde Mohammed, expressed confidence in the party's readiness to reclaim power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 elections.
