Lagos State Offers Amnesty Window for Property Owners to Obtain Building Permits

Lagos State has introduced an amnesty window for property owners to obtain building permits without penalties. The initiative, announced by the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, aims to encourage property owners to legalize their structures.

Owners can submit applications at LASPPPA district offices across the 57 LGAs and LCDAs in Lagos State. The amnesty period runs from November 1 to December 31, 2025, allowing property owners to perfect their permits by providing necessary documentation like proof of ownership, survey plans, tax compliance evidence, and structural stability reports.
