Cucurella Defends Mourinho Amid Early Real Madrid Struggles
Marc Cucurella, a defender for Real Madrid, expressed that it is too early to criticize manager Jose Mourinho during a press conference. He emphasized that the team should be assessed at the end of the season, noting that they have lost two of their first seven LaLiga fixtures, specifically to Real Betis and Atletico Madrid.
These losses have placed Real Madrid six points behind their rivals, Barcelona. Cucurella pointed out that the team has just begun under a new manager and that some players had only a week-long pre-season before starting the season.
He acknowledged that the beginning of the season has not met expectations but stressed that it is a process and that the team's performance should be evaluated later in the campaign.
