Yamal Advocates for Barcelona to Sign Osimhen from Napoli

Lamine Yamal, a teenager at Barcelona, has reportedly encouraged the club to pursue Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen during the summer transfer window. This comes as Barcelona considers a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who is nearing the end of his career.

Yamal believes Osimhen would be an ideal fit for Barcelona's attacking style, highlighting the striker's movement and physical presence that could alleviate defensive pressure and create space in the final third. Osimhen's current market value is estimated at €75 million, although Napoli is expected to demand around €100 million for his transfer.

Napoli's president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, acknowledged a significant mistake in allowing Osimhen to leave, as he played a crucial role in Napoli's Serie A title win in 2023, scoring 26 goals. Despite signing a new deal in December 2023, an agreement is already in place for his departure in the 2024-2025 season.
