Frank Lampard, the current coach of Coventry City, expressed his admiration for the club's promotion back to the Premier League after a 25-year wait, following a 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers. This match secured automatic promotion with one game to spare in the EFL Championship.

Lampard, who took charge at Coventry in November 2024, described the promotion as a "unique" achievement and one of the finest in his career. He credited his predecessor, Mark Robins, for laying the foundation for this success.

Coventry City is currently 11 points clear of Ipswich Town with two games in hand and three matches left in the season, indicating a strong position in the title race.
