Ikogosi Resort's Multi-million-naira Tourism Investments

Lanre Balogun, the General Manager of Glocient Hospitality, which operates the Ikogosi Warm Spring Resort and Conference Centre in Ekiti State, emphasized the role of job creation in driving multi-million-naira tourism investments. Over the past year, the resort has attracted diverse guests and has undergone significant transformations.

Balogun noted that the resort has invested close to N275 million in renewable energy, including solar panels, to reduce operational costs. The resort currently employs 230 staff, with nearly 70% being female, contributing to the local economy.

The leadership of Ekiti State, under Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has supported these initiatives, enhancing accessibility to the resort via nearby airports. Balogun highlighted the resort's unique features, including its natural thermal springs, and called for increased promotion of Nigeria's tourism potential, particularly Ikogosi, as a serene destination.
