Lil Nas X Pleads Not Guilty to Assaulting Police Officer in Los Angeles

US rapper Lil Nas X pleaded not guilty to charges of assaulting a police officer in Los Angeles. The incident occurred when police responded to a report of a nude man on Ventura Boulevard.

Lil Nas X was arrested and taken to the hospital for evaluation due to a suspected overdose. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office charged him with three felony counts of battery on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer.

If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison. The rapper allegedly punched the officer twice in the face during the altercation.

Lil Nas X remains in jail with a bail condition requiring him to attend a drug treatment program. His next court appearance is scheduled for September 15.
