LinkedIn Faces Lawsuit Over Alleged Misuse of Private Messages for AI Training

LinkedIn is being sued for allegedly using private messages of premium users for AI training without consent, allowing third parties access to personal data. The lawsuit claims LinkedIn introduced new privacy settings in August 2023, automatically opting users into the program.

LinkedIn denies the allegations, stating that user data sharing for AI purposes does not apply to users in the UK, European Economic Area, and Switzerland. The lawsuit seeks damages for breach of contract and violation of privacy standards.
