Messi Reveals Special Jersey for Final Argentina Match

Lionel Messi has unveiled a special Argentina jersey that he will wear for his final appearance with the national team, set for October 6 against Benin at the Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires. The 39-year-old announced his retirement from international football, with FIFA confirming this match will mark his last.

The jersey retains Argentina's iconic sky-blue and white colors, featuring Messi's name, MESSI, and the legendary No. 10 in gold, along with the Sun of May emblem. Messi shared an emotional message alongside the reveal: “Último partido… Una camiseta para toda la vida,” translating to “One last match… A jersey for a lifetime.” His international career began in 2005, and he has since earned 207 caps and scored 125 goals, winning the 2021 Copa América, 2022 FIFA World Cup, and 2024 Copa América.

Messi will not participate in the matches against Bolivia on September 30 and Burkina Faso on October 3, making the match against Benin his final outing.
