INEC Officials Arrive Early for FCT Elections 2026

On February 21, 2026, officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) arrived early at the Peyi polling unit located in Bwari Local Government Area (LGA) of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The officials were seen setting up the polling station and preparing electoral materials as security personnel were present in the area.

This event marks the local government area elections, where elections are set to take place across six local government areas within the FCT, including AMAC, Kuje, Kwali, Gwagwalada, Bwari, and Abaji. Approximately two million voters are expected to participate in electing LGA chairmen and ward councillors during this electoral process.
