The Nigerian equities market maintained its bullish momentum, recording a gain of N1.858 trillion, bringing the total market capitalization to N145.335 trillion, up from N143.477 trillion the previous day. The NGX share index increased by 288.65 basis points, closing at 225,774.33 points.

The market breadth showed 42 stocks advancing compared to 26 declining, resulting in a year-to-date return of 45.05 percent. Notable gainers included UPDC, which rose by 10 percent to close at N7.70 per unit, followed by HMCall at 9.97 percent, closing at N3.97 per unit, and Zichi Agro at 9.94 percent, closing at N15.60 per share.

Conversely, Meyer Paint was the top loser, dropping 9.92 percent to close at N16.80 per unit. Trading volume decreased to 627.616 million shares, valued at N44.512 billion, a 16.76 percent increase in transaction value compared to the previous day.

Access Bank led market activity with 75.616 million shares valued at N2.364 billion.
