Lookman Set for Madrid Derby Debut with Atletico Madrid

Ademola Lookman will make his Madrid derby debut on Sunday when Atletico Madrid faces Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in a La Liga fixture. Lookman, who joined Atletico from Atalanta in January, has been in fine form with four goals and four assists in 13 appearances.

Atletico Madrid is pursuing a double, having reached the Copa del Rey final against Real Sociedad on April 18 and preparing for a Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona. In another match, fellow Nigerian players Akor Adam and Chidera Ejuke will face Umar Sadiq when Sevilla hosts Valencia in a relegation battle.

Sevilla currently sits 15th with 31 points, just below Valencia, which has 32 points. Adam is expected to lead Sevilla’s line as their top scorer with seven league goals this season.

Ejuke has returned to training after a brief absence. Other notable matches include Nigerian players Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, and Samuel Chukwueze participating in their respective clubs' fixtures.
