LUG West Africa to Establish Assembly Plant, Install 250 EV Charging Stations in Lagos by 2026

LUG West Africa announced plans to build an assembly plant and install 250 EV charging stations in Lagos by 2026. The initiative aligns with Nigeria's renewable energy goals and aims to promote sustainable urban development.

The company has already deployed 50,000 solar-powered street lights in Lagos, providing a foundation for integrating EV charging solutions. The project anticipates a 400% increase in electric vehicle adoption by 2025, with a goal of having 10 EVs on Nigerian roads by 2030.

The infrastructure will cater to the growing demand for public charging facilities, especially for EV owners without home charging access.
