Maduka Okoye Achieves 10th Clean Sheet in Serie A

On Saturday, Maduka Okoye recorded his 10th clean sheet of the Serie A season, leading Udinese to a 2-0 victory against Cagliari at the Unipol Domus. This achievement makes Okoye the first Nigerian goalkeeper to reach this milestone in a top five European league since Vincent Enyeama, who set the standard with 17 clean sheets during the 2014-2015 Ligue 1 season.

Okoye's performance included three saves from five shots on target, with a standout moment being a full-stretch fingertip stop in the first half that kept the game level. Adam Buksa scored the opening goal in the 56th minute, and Idrissa Gueye sealed the win with a goal in the 96th minute.

This result marked Udinese's 14th league win of the campaign, lifting them to ninth place in the table. Okoye's clean sheet also matched his personal best from the 2020-2021 season with Sparta Rotterdam in the Eredivisie, after joining Udinese in 2022.

His impressive form has attracted interest from clubs such as Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Bournemouth ahead of the summer transfer window.
