Man Arrested in Lagos with Severed Human Hand

On Friday, during a routine stop-and-search operation along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, the Lagos State Police Command apprehended a 21-year-old male suspect named Samson Onilewaji. He was found in possession of a severed human right hand, two locally made pistols with live cartridges, two axes, and five ATM cards.

The police intercepted an unregistered commercial shuttle bus carrying six occupants, which led to the discovery of the items. Onilewaji confessed to recently robbing three individuals, and the police are working to identify and contact the victims to return the recovered property.

The investigation is ongoing to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the possession of the human hand and its intended use. State Commissioner of Police Tijani Fatai urged the public to remain vigilant and continue supporting the police, emphasizing that credible information is crucial for crime prevention and enhancing public safety.
