Three Arrested for Murder of Ex-OGTV Broadcaster Oyesiku

The Ogun State Police Command arrested three suspects linked to the murder of former Ogun State Television broadcaster Olakitan Oyesiku. The arrests were made following an investigation that began after Oyesiku and her security guard Pelumi Adetayo were found dead in her residence on June 21.

The police received a distress report regarding suspicious circumstances at Oyesiku's home, where they discovered the bodies. A Lexus RX 330 vehicle belonging to Oyesiku was reported missing, raising suspicions of robbery and murder.

Investigators recovered a handwritten note at the crime scene, which provided crucial evidence. The primary suspect, 22-year-old Sodeind Olajuwon Philip, was arrested on June 24 at a construction site in Abeokuta and confessed to his involvement in the crime.

He disclosed that he had recruited Sakirudeen Abdulraheem Ayoola and Sobu Obafunsho to participate in the murder, which stemmed from grievances related to his previous employment as a security guard for Oyesiku. The police recovered several exhibits linked to the crime during their investigation.
