Manchester United Eyes Borussia Dortmund's Niko Kovač as Potential Long-Term Managerial Candidate

Manchester United has initiated a managerial search and is reportedly interested in Borussia Dortmund's current manager, Niko Kovač, for a long-term role. This move comes after the sacking of Ruben Amorim, with Michael Carrick serving as the interim manager until the end of the season.

Kovač has a strong coaching reputation, having led Bayern Munich to success in 2019 and achieving a Bundesliga-DFB Pokal double with Eintracht Frankfurt. He has taken Dortmund from near relegation to a 4th place finish in the Bundesliga.

Kovač, who is under contract with Dortmund until 2027, has expressed interest in managing in England, although he has reportedly declined previous Premier League opportunities.
