Mary Olushoga to Perform at BAM's 40th Annual MLK Jr. Tribute in January

Mary Olushoga, the founder of AWP Network, a global organization focusing on community economic development, will be performing at the 40th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Tribute at the Brooklyn Academy of Music on January 19, 2026.

The event will honor Dr. King's life and legacy.

Olushoga is recognized for her work in entrepreneurship and economic development, including training thousands of entrepreneurs across Africa and raising funds to support women and girl entrepreneurs in Nigeria. She also serves on the executive steering board of the Nigeria Nation Plastic Action Partnership (NPAP) and the Global Plastic Action Partnership (GPAP), initiatives of the World Economic Forum.

Olushoga has received multiple awards and grants for her contributions to business and public service. Zohran Mamdani, the Mayor of New York City, will also be part of the event.
