Mass Defection: PDP Leaders Join APC in Ondo Over Tinubu's Projects

In a significant blow to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, over 1,000 leaders across 18 local government areas have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The defectors, largely members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), were formally received at the APC state secretariat in Akure.

The move was welcomed by the APC state chairman, who highlighted President Bola Tinubu's infrastructure development efforts as a key reason for the defection. The defectors expressed admiration for ongoing road projects and committed to grassroots mobilization for future elections, signaling APC's growing dominance in Ondo politics.
