Mayorkun Reveals Dating Struggles and Brother's Advice

Nigerian singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, known as Mayorkun, revealed his struggles with finding the right woman to marry during an episode of the Uncut podcast. He shared advice from his elder brother, who questioned when Mayorkun last approached a woman in broad daylight, suggesting that his dating difficulties might stem from his approach to searching for love.

Mayorkun agreed with this perspective, stating that he believes a responsible woman should not be out late at night. He recounted an awkward moment when he asked a woman out, only for her to claim she did not know him.

However, during their second date, she sang along to one of his songs on the radio, despite her earlier claims of unfamiliarity with his music. This experience reinforced his concerns about pretence and fake lifestyles, which he feels complicate the search for a genuine life partner.
