Enugu State Governor and Entire Political Structure Defect to APC in Major Political Shift

Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, his deputy Ifeanyi Ossai, and the entire political structure of Enugu State have defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This move is seen as a major blow to the PDP's stronghold in the South East ahead of the 2023 general elections. The defection was announced during a visit by APC Vice President Kashim Shettima and former Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu.

The defection is attributed to dissatisfaction with the PDP's leadership and a desire to align with the vision of the APC.
