Kylian Mbappe, the Real Madrid forward, has demanded a ban on Benfica's Gianluca Prestianni following an alleged racist slur aimed at Vinicius Jr. during a Champions League match on Tuesday. The incident occurred shortly after Vinicius scored, leading to a confrontation where Prestianni was accused of making a racial comment.

Referee Francois Letexier halted the match for 11 minutes, activating FIFA's anti-racism protocol. Footage showed Prestianni covering his mouth while making the comment, which was interpreted as a racial slur against the 25-year-old Brazilian.

Mbappe expressed outrage, stating that such behavior is unacceptable in top European football and that Prestianni does not deserve to play in the Champions League anymore. Despite the rising tensions, Vinicius continued to play amid loud boos from the home crowd.
