Nigerian MDAs to Roll Over 70% of 2025 Budget to 2026 for Economic Alignment

Nigerian Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are set to roll over 70% of the 2025 budget to 2026 in alignment with the economic plan proposed by Senator Abubakar Atiku and Governor Bagudu. This move aims to prioritize key sectors such as national security, education, health, agriculture, infrastructure, power, and social safety nets.

The circular emphasizes the need for government policies to be directed towards the new administration's goals. MDAs are required to strictly adhere to the budget submission guidelines, ensuring no new projects are introduced beyond the approved ceiling.

The budget preparation process will utilize the GIFMIS platform for online submissions.
