Super Eagles Call Up Ilenikhena, James, and Usor for AFCON

Head coach Eric Chelle announced a 24-man squad for the Super Eagles ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau. The matches are scheduled for September 25 in Uyo and September 29, respectively.

New call-ups include forward George Ilenikhena, left-back Isaac James, and forward Moses Usor. Ilenikhena, who has previously represented France at youth level, has been in good form with six goals and two assists in nine matches for Al Ittihad.

He is expected to compete for a spot in the lineup due to injuries affecting Victor Osimhen and Paul Onuachu. Isaac James has been called up following an injury to Zaidu Sanusi, providing Chelle with additional options in defense.

Moses Usor, who had a successful season with LASK, contributing to the club's league and cup double, is also included in the squad. All three players are anticipated to make their debuts in the upcoming matches.
