Charly Boy Critiques Nigerian Pastors for Profit Motives

Charly Boy, also known as Charl Oputa, a maverick singer, has publicly criticized Nigerian pastors, asserting that 99% of them are primarily in ministry for business rather than genuine spiritual purposes. His comments were made during a recent episode of the Kaa Truth Podcast, where he referred to the Nigerian clerics as complicit in remaining silent in the face of the economic and security challenges confronting the nation.

He accused these clerics of collaborating with corrupt politicians and exploiting the masses. Charly Boy emphasized that despite living in Nigeria, he does not believe in the sanctimonious behavior exhibited by many Nigerian pastors, whom he described as largely ineffective and primarily focused on profit.

He stated, "99 percent useless just busi run," highlighting his disillusionment with the current state of religious leadership in Nigeria.
