MTN Nigeria Remits N879 Billion in Taxes for 2025

MTN Nigeria paid N878.7 billion in taxes, levies, and duties to federal and state authorities for the 2025 financial year, representing a 15% increase from the previous year. This payment is part of the company's commitment to support the government's fiscal reform agenda.

The total revenue for MTN Nigeria rose by 54.8% to N5.20 trillion, with operating profit increasing to N2.08 trillion. The company also reported a recovery from forex-driven losses, with a profit before tax of N1.11 trillion.

MTN Nigeria's tax contributions included corporate income tax, value-added tax, spectrum fees, and import duties. The company is involved in infrastructure development, committing N202.8 billion towards reconstructing 110 kilometers of the Enugu-Onitsha expressway.

Additionally, MTN Nigeria's procurement from local suppliers increased to 62% in 2025, aligning with the federal government's local content objectives. The company operates 2,087 active base stations and has 85.4 million mobile subscribers as of the third quarter of 2025.
