Plateau Governor Signs ₦109.7B Supplementary Budget to Boost Security and Development

Governor Mutfwang of Plateau State has signed a ₦109.7 billion supplementary budget into law to address financial shortfalls and boost critical sectors. The budget, covering September to December, aims to support ongoing projects and enhance security, particularly in border communities.

Mutfwang highlighted the importance of security in the state's development, acknowledging the persistent threats faced by some areas. He emphasized the need for a stronger military presence and aerial surveillance to complement ground operations.

The governor also expressed gratitude for improved safety in Jos, which has positively impacted the local economy. Additionally, Mutfwang assured continued collaboration with security agencies, including the Air Force, to ensure the state's security.
