Wike to Reveal Peace Deal with Fubara Brokered by Tinubu, Warns Against Trusting Politicians

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike announced plans to make public a peace agreement with Simalayi Fubara, mediated by Bola Tinubu. Tinubu had brokered the deal in June to resolve political crises in the state.

Wike cautioned against trusting politicians who fail to keep promises. Local leaders in Tai Local Government Area expressed support for Tinubu in the upcoming 2023 elections, with Senator Barry Mpigi thanking Wike for his backing.

Chairman Bernard Nbar assured continued loyalty to Wike and support for the people of River South East.
