Energy Conference to Tackle Investment Barriers in Nigeria

The Association of Energy Correspondents of Nigeria is organizing the 2026 Energy Conference on October 8, 2026, at Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos. The conference, themed ‘Access to Assets: Empowering Players and Driving Growth’, aims to address investment barriers in Nigeria’s oil, gas, and power sectors.

Ugo Amadi, Chairman of the association, and Dr Adeola Yusuf, Chairman of the conference organizing committee, stated that the event will gather policymakers, regulators, and industry leaders to discuss measures to enhance investment. Key topics will include challenges limiting access to energy assets, investment opportunities for indigenous operators, and necessary policy frameworks.

Notable speakers include Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil); Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas); and Joseph Tegbe, Minister of Power. The conference aims to shape the industry’s agenda as Nigeria targets a $1 trillion Gross Domestic Product by 2030.
