Naira Gains N1.13, Closes at N1,346.49 per Dollar

On Friday, the naira closed at N1,346.49 to the U.S. dollar, gaining N1.13 or 0.08% from Thursday's rate of N1,347.62. Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria indicated that the naira remained relatively stable throughout the week, despite ongoing reforms.

The trading week began with the naira appreciating to N1,349.53 on Monday, followed by further appreciation on Tuesday. However, it recorded a minimal loss of 0.5% on Wednesday.

The naira rebounded on Thursday, gaining N2.79 before closing the week with an additional gain on Friday. Overall, the naira's performance reflects a week of fluctuations, with only one day of depreciation amidst the Central Bank's efforts to stabilize the currency.
