NASD Plc Expands to Diversify Revenue Streams

NASD Plc is positioning itself for growth by moving beyond traditional securities trading into a broader capital-formation ecosystem, aiming to create diversified and recurring revenue streams. This strategy is in response to the increasing need for private capital to support Nigeria's economic development in sectors such as agriculture, energy, and technology.
During the Company’s 13th Annual General Meeting, Chairman Olayimikah Bolo stated that NASD’s priorities for 2026 will include market deepening, enterprise development, capital formation, digital innovation, and increased investor participation. He emphasized the importance of strengthening governance and operational resilience.
NASD's recent market performance showed a 105.83% increase in market capitalization to N2.12 trillion and a 370.81% surge in trading volume to 14.03 billion shares. However, revenue remained flat at N1.12 billion, and profit after tax declined by 36% to N263.4 million.
Acting Managing Director Chinwendu Ekeh noted that NASD is targeting expansion in Commercial Paper and Digital Securities to enhance revenue channels.
