NASENI Launches FutureMakers Initiative to Empower Young Nigerian Innovators

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has introduced the FutureMakers program in Nigeria to support young innovators aged five to 16. The initiative aims to cultivate a culture of innovation and problem-solving skills among children by providing training in design thinking, engineering, and technology.

Through mentorship schemes, access to prototyping tools, and hackathons, NASENI seeks to groom future STEM leaders and contribute to industrial transformation. The program emphasizes early exposure to innovation to shape lifelong innovators.

NASENI executives Khalil Suleiman Halilu and Racheal Perez Folayan highlighted the importance of nurturing young talent to drive Nigeria's innovation destiny.
