Amadi Critiques NASS for Self-Serving Legislation

Sam Amadi, the director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, criticized the Nigerian National Assembly during a live interview on Arise Television. He stated that the Assembly has turned legislation into a tool for self-aggrandizement, particularly in light of the ongoing crises in Nigeria.

Amadi highlighted the tendency of the current Assembly to focus on individual interests rather than the collective needs of the populace. He specifically referenced the Electoral Act, suggesting that it has been crafted in a way that targets specific individuals and excludes political parties from participation.
