NASS Blocks Senator Natasha's Resumption Amid Appeal Court Case

Senator Natasha's request to resume legislative duties in the National Assembly was denied despite the expiration of her suspension on September 4, 2025. The National Assembly cited a pending appeal court case as the reason for blocking her resumption.

Senator Natasha, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, was suspended on allegations of misconduct on March 6, 2025. The Senate leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) condemned the decision, accusing the Clerk of the National Assembly of orchestrating a calculated attempt to prevent Senator Natasha from resuming her duties.

The Federal High Court had ruled the suspension as excessive and unconstitutional, leading to an appeal filed by the Senate President.
