Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan Resumes Senate Plenary After Six-Month Suspension

Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central in the Nigerian Senate, has returned to the Senate chamber after a six-month suspension for alleged misconduct. The suspension, which began on March 6, included the withdrawal of her salary, security detail, and access to the National Assembly premises.

Natasha had filed a petition accusing Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment, leading to her suspension. Despite her attempts to overturn the suspension in court, she was only allowed to resume her legislative duties after the suspension period lapsed in September.
