Senate to Address Oshiomhole's Forgery Claims Against Akpoti

The Nigerian Senate is preparing for an emergency session to address allegations made by Senator Adams Oshiomhole regarding the suspension of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. Oshiomhole claimed that Akpoti-Uduaghan's signature was improperly attached to a report recommending her six-month suspension.

Despite Oshiomhole's assertions, Senate spokesperson Yemi Adaramodu clarified that there are no complaints regarding forgery related to Akpoti-Uduaghan's suspension. The Senate, led by President Godswill Akpabio, is expected to formally investigate these allegations during the upcoming session.

Ireti Kingibe, another senator, supported Oshiomhole's claims, stating she witnessed the committee report that led to Akpoti-Uduaghan's suspension. The Senate aims to address the controversy and determine the appropriate course of action, emphasizing the importance of integrity in its proceedings.
