Oshiomhole Denies Claims of Forged Senate Signatures

Adams Oshiomhole, the former governor of Edo State, issued a statement in Abuja addressing allegations that he claimed Senators' signatures were forged in relation to the suspension of Akpoti Uduaghan. Oshiomhole stated that his remarks were misrepresented and that he fully agrees with Senate spokesperson Yemi Adaramodu that no signatures were forged in the process leading to Uduaghan's suspension.

He noted that there was no formal complaint made to the Senate regarding forged signatures. Oshiomhole further clarified that his comments were made during an interview and should be taken seriously, as they were misinterpreted.

Senate leader Opeyemi Bamidele described the situation as a low point for the 10th Senate and expressed regret over any unintended consequences of Oshiomhole's remarks, which may have caused embarrassment to the Senate.
