NBA, FIBA to Host First Basketball Without Borders Camp in East Africa

The NBA and FIBA have announced the 21st Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Africa camp, to be held in Kigali, Rwanda from August 23 to 26. This marks the first time the global basketball development and community outreach program will be held in East Africa.

The camp will bring together 60 top male and female players aged 18 from across Africa to learn directly from current and former NBA, WNBA, and FIBA players and coaches. The event will also include leadership development and social responsibility programming.

Rwanda was chosen to host this edition due to its strong presence in African basketball, having recently hosted the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup and the Basketball Africa League Playoffs. BWB Africa 2025 is supported by Nike, the global partner since 2002, and has seen 142 former campers drafted to the NBA and WNBA.
