NBBofC Requests Boxrec's Help in Investigation

The Nigerian Boxing Board of Control (NBBofC) has made a formal request to Boxrec for cooperation in an ongoing independent investigation. This investigation is led by Dr.

Bob Olukoya, who is partnered with Fort Knight. A letter was addressed to Dr.

Marina Sheppard, the Chief Executive Officer of Boxrec, requesting a thorough and impartial review of the matters at hand. The goal of this investigation is to establish the facts surrounding the NBBofC's situation and to make recommendations that promote transparency and safeguard the integrity of Nigerian boxing records.

Dr. Olukoya's letter also requested a copy of the petition submitted to Boxrec by Nigerian boxing stakeholders, including Onyeka Elum, to ensure that all relevant evidence is considered in the review process.

This request comes amid the board's suspension and aims to clarify the circumstances leading to the sanctions imposed on the NBBofC.
