Nigeria Sees 2.57% Drop in Diesel Prices; NNPC Cuts Petrol Rates

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported a 2.57% year-on-year decrease in diesel prices in Nigeria in November 2025. Prices varied across states, with Niger and Jigawa recording the highest average retail prices, while Katsina and Nasarawa had the lowest.

The South East had the highest average retail price for diesel on a zonal basis. Additionally, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) recently reduced petrol prices in major cities, including Lagos and Abuja.

Dangote Refinery also partnered with fill stations to slash petrol prices.
