NCPC Signs Agreement for 2026 Pilgrimage Safety

On July 27, 2026, the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) signed a contract extension agreement with its accredited pilgrimage service providers for the upcoming 2026 Christian pilgrimage exercise to Israel and Jordan. The agreement aims to ensure seamless operations and efficient service delivery during the pilgrimage season.

Prof. Stephen Adegbite, the executive secretary of NCPC, signed the agreement with the commission’s accredited air carrier and seven ground handling companies, following the successful extension of contracts in accordance with due process and the approval of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP).

During the signing ceremony, Prof. Adegbite expressed gratitude to God and acknowledged the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the NCPC board, management, and staff.

He emphasized the commission's commitment to the safety and welfare of Nigerian pilgrims, stating that he would personally assess the security situation in the Holy Land before resuming pilgrimage operations, ensuring that the safety of pilgrims is never compromised.
