NDC Appoints Obi and Kwankwaso to Key Campaign Roles

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and vice-presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, will have significant influence in appointing key positions within the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC). This decision comes amid internal tensions with the Obi-Kwankwaso Movement, a grassroots support group.

The NDC's National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, stated that the party is focused on uniting against the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and has urged all candidates to avoid intra-party conflicts. The PCC will include roles such as Director-General, Deputy Director-General (North), Campaign Spokesperson, and Finance Director, among others.

The NDC also indicated that campaign funds will be managed collaboratively to comply with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) regulations. The launch of the campaign structure was postponed from early September to accommodate Obi's travel schedule, with the inauguration planned after final inputs from both candidates.
