NDIC Empowered to Prosecute Parties Responsible for Bank Failures, Says MD

The Managing Director of NDIC, Thompson Oludare Sunday, emphasized the corporation's strengthened legal framework to prosecute individuals accountable for bank failures. This was discussed during a visit by Chimezi Victor Ihekweazu from BRIPAN to NDIC headquarters in Abuja.

The recent legal reforms, including the NDIC Act of 2023 and the BOFIA 2020, have empowered NDIC to effectively address failed bank cases and protect depositors' interests. Sunday expressed gratitude for legislative support and emphasized NDIC's commitment to leveraging these legal advancements for efficient operations.
