NDLEA Arrests Over 45,000 Suspects and Seizes 8.5 Million Kilograms of Drugs, Chairman Reveals Success

The Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. Gen.

Moham Buba Marwa (Rtd), announced the agency's success in arresting 45,853 suspects and securing 9,263 convictions over the past two and a half years. Marwa commended NDLEA personnel for their dedication in the fight against illicit drugs, highlighting efforts in drug user counseling and rehabilitation.

The agency's reward system aims to motivate officers, with support from international partners like UNODC, INL, UK Border Force, and governments of France and Germany. The ceremony held in Abuja honored 220 officials and promoted 15 senior officers.
