NEPC: Nigeria’s Non-oil Exports Rose 19.5%, Hit $3.22 Billion in H1 of 2025

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) reported that Nigeria's non-oil exports increased by 19.5% to $3.22 billion in the first half of 2025, compared to the same period in 2024. NEPC's Executive Director, Nonye Ayeni, attributed this growth to factors such as increased global demand for Nigerian products, wider market access, and tariff relief under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agreement.
The country exported 236 different products, a 17% increase from 2024, including agricultural commodities, extractive industry goods, and manufactured products. Indorama Eleme Fertiliser Chemical Limited and Starlink Global Ideal Limited were the top two exporters, while Dangote Fertiliser Limited ranked third.
Nigeria also exported products worth 663 million metric tonnes to ECOWAS countries and 488 million metric tonnes to other African countries outside ECOWAS. NEPC emphasized the importance of diversifying Nigeria's exports.
