Niger Governor Terminates Special Advisers; Oyo Court Dismisses Fund Freeze Appeal

Governor Bago of Niger State has sacked all special advisers as part of efforts to restructure the state government for improved efficiency. In a separate development, the Oyo State High Court in Ibadan dismissed Osun State's bid to lift a freeze on disputed council funds held by UBA PLC.

The court ruled that the former chairmen lacked legal standing to challenge the freeze order. Attorney General Musibau Adetunbi represented Osun State in the case.
