Sarah Foundation Launches WAVRI Platform to End Poverty in Africa

The Sarah Foundation launched WAVRI, a pioneering platform designed to mobilize Africans at home and in the diaspora to fund innovative solutions to end poverty in Africa. The platform aims to shift the narrative from dependency on aid to ownership and empowerment, emphasizing transparency and impact.

Founder Eseh announced the platform's launch in Abuja, highlighting the need for sustained investment in people to combat poverty effectively. WAVRI allows individuals, known as Wavemakers, to contribute to a collective fund, vote on supported enterprises, and track measurable outcomes in real-time.

The platform focuses on trust, transparency, and accountability, ensuring that every donation is accounted for and contributes to impactful poverty-alleviating initiatives.
