President Tinubu Appoints New Service Chiefs to Tackle Nigeria's Security Challenges

President Bola Tinubu has effected a mid-term sweep and reshuffle of Nigeria's top military hierarchy by appointing new service chiefs, including Generals Olufemi Oluyede, Waidi Shaibu, Vice Admiral Idi Abba, Air Marshal Sundai Kelvin Anek, and Lieutenant General Emmanuel Parker Undiandey. The appointments were confirmed by the Senate and House of Representatives, with a focus on addressing various security threats like terrorism, banditry, farmer-herder clashes, oil theft, piracy, secessionist violence, and more.

President Tinubu urged the new chiefs to deliver results, innovate, and stay ahead in securing the nation.
